VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – The Canucks continue to lock up their core of players.  The team has re-signed forward Ryan Kesler to a six-year deal, which will keep the alternate captain in Vancouver through the 2015-2016 season.

The deal is apparently worth $30 million.  In 71 games so far this season, Kesler has hit a career high with 21 goals and 66 points.  He also won a silver medal with the American Olympic Team at the 2010 Games.

The 25-year-old was drafted by the Canucks 23rd overall in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
