VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – The Widget’s the gadget for businesses trying to attract transit users. TransLink has a new way to connect the two and it’s called the ‘Trip Planner Widget.’ TransLink’s Drew Snider says its a mini version of the TransLink Trip Planner.
He adds it can be downloaded to a website from their website. “It’s a way for a business to add a bit of value for their customers, or people who have a travel blog. That would be another area where you could make use of that. You can go to the developer resources page on the TransLink website and take the HTML code there and simply copy and paste it. Even I can do it.”
Snider explains it’s also useful for tourist destinations like the Vancouver Aquarium or Art Gallery. People can just go to their website, click on the Trip Planner Widget icon, type in where they are and it will tell them the best way to get there by transit.
What’s even better is Trip Planner Widget is free. For more information on the new system click here.
