SURREY (NEWS1130) – No arrests have been made after the usually quiet upscale neighbourhood of Morgan Creek in Surrey was rocked by gunfire early Sunday morning. When police arrived at the home on 156th Street near 37th Avenue, they discovered a 32-year-old man dead in the garage.
Dale Carr with the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team says the young father was shot multiple times after visiting with the suspect outside the home. “It wasn’t a case of someone just driving along, shooting up homes”
Carr says investigators plan to check into the victim’s background as they piece together the circumstances behind the shooting. “Certainly we will be doing a full and comprehensive background and profile on the residence, people in the residence, the victim and any friends and associates.”
No arrests have been made, the victim’s name hasn’t been released and police are still trying to figure the motive. “To see what would lead to such a violent end at this point, we just don’t have it. It takes the better part of a day or even more.”
