Vancouver Police are looking at numerous charges against a man linked to an attack on a mechanic at a motorcycle shop around 1:45 yesterday afternoon.
Constable Jana McGuinness says a man walked into the garage at “Bayside Performance” on Fraser Street and was told to leave by the victim which agitated the suspect. “The suspect grabbed a hammer off a counter and he lunged at the mechanic, raising a hammer over his head allegedly in an attempt to strike him. As the blow came down, it hit the mechanic on the hand who was defending himself, causing a hand injury.”
Police arrested a 30-year-old man a few hours later and may charge him with assault with a weapon and aggravated assault. The 29-year-old victim’s injuries were minor.
