SECHELT (NEWS1130) – An ER doctor with 1,500 patients in Sechelt who’s been caught up in an immigration snag will probably get to stay in B.C.
Sunshine Coast MP John Weston has gone to bat with the bureaucrats for her.
“We’ve been dealing with the Department of Immigration, and we believe that the situation will be turned around in a matter of days,” he told News1130.
Dr. Isabelle Hughan was recruited to practice in B.C. several years ago. A problem with documents forced her to give up work, and without any income she feared having to return to the U.K. with her husband and two children.
