Duchess Kate reveals baby hopes for the first time

By

QUEBEC CITY (NEWS1130) – Four simple words reportedly made by Prince William’s wife Kate have sparked a firestorm of baby speculation by international media and gossip rags alike.

The Daily Telegraph reports that David Cheater, a British ex-pat now living in Quebec, met Kate during a walkabout.

The paper says Cheater wished Kate well in her efforts to start a family, and she thanked him by saying, “Yes, I hope to.”

The seemingly innocuous remark has generated worldwide stories about Kate’s supposed longing for children, and even speculation that conception might take place on their Canadian tour.

Many media noted that both William himself and Prince Charles were born within a year of their parents’ weddings.

The Telegraph notes it is the first time the duchess has spoken publicly about having children, although Prince William stated when the couple got engaged that a family was something they both wanted.
