SURREY (NEWS1130) – Lower Mainland police have arrested two men in connection to the murder of Maple Batalia.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team is expected to announce more details tonight at the Surrey RCMP detachment.
Two men have charges pending in relation to Batalia’s death and remain in police custody.
Maple was shot to death about 1 a.m. on Sept. 28, 2011 as she left SFU’s Surrey campus after an evening of studying with friends.
It has been very difficult for her family and friends,many are still touched by the tragedy. Just a little over two months ago, hundreds attended a vigil held for the young woman.
