VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – If you or someone you know is taking transit today, you may be a little alarmed to see a bunch of people not wearing pants.
It’s the fourth annual No Pants SkyTrain Party — a movement that started in New York a decade ago.
Organizer Larry Piché with Vancouver Improv Anywhere says the goal is to make someone smile.
“We’ll be going to Waterfront, we’ll be going to Metrotown and maybe even we’ll walk on the street just to see if we can get some reaction as we switch from Canada Line to Expo.”
Participants — and you are welcome — are meeting at the Commercial/Broadway Station at 1 p.m.
Piché says the event is not exclusive to Vancouver. “It’s happening around the world, in I don’t know how many countries. It’s our fourth year hosting the Vancouver chapter. It’s always been very successful, very popular.”
There are two requirements though. You have to be willing to take off your pants and you have to keep a straight face.
