VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Hundreds gathered at Victory Square to voice their opinions on the Enbridge Northern Gateway Pipelines Project proposal this evening.

It was a peaceful, family friendly and lively demonstration, but many people, like Earth, strongly oppose the plan. “It’s about potential damage to the BC coastline and to nature in BC if the pipeline goes through.”

He is lucky enough to be addressing panelists at this weeks environmental hearings. Almost 250 people have officially registered to present oral evidence at the Victoria hearings of the federal joint review panel, which is examining the environmental viability of the proposed $6 billion twin pipeline project.

Others say they don’t like the idea of selling and shipping Canadian natural resources.
