VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – They’re listening: that pledge from Kinder Morgan, as it plans its pipeline expansion.
The company’s head has gone before a Vancouver business crowd to portray Kinder Morgan as honest, transparent, and attentive.
With ongoing concerns about oil spills and other environmental hazards, Kinder Morgan president Ian Anderson says they’ve been listening during recent open houses.
“I can tell you I’ve got a binder on my desk of hundreds of pages of learnings, of ideas, of thoughts that came out of those sessions,” Anderson says.
He told a board of trade audience the company is working hard to be open. “We have been very public, very transparent, and very engaged and been in this community a lot for the last year already.”
Kinder Morgan plans to apply this fall for permission to nearly triple the capacity of the Trans Mountain pipeline that goes to Burnaby.
