Langley RCMP searching for attempted abduction suspect

LANGLEY (NEWS1130) – Langley Mounties have caught a break after a couple of attempted child abductions.
Earlier this month, a man grabbed a 12-year-old girl and tried to get her into his truck on 205 Street, not far from the Al Anderson Memorial Pool. She got away and was able to describe the man to a police sketch artist.
Police have now linked that same man to another attempted abduction in Fort Langley back in October, when a man grabbed a 12-year-old girl by the wrist. In this case, the girl screamed, kicked the man and ran back to her school.
“It bears the conversation to be had, once again, between parents and kids about not walking by yourselves — if you can, walk with a group of friends — and not to be looking down and texting; be mindful of your situation,” says Corporal Holly Marks.
He is described as a white man in his 30s with brown scruffy hair. He’s about 5’9″ with a stocky build and a scratch on the right side of his face. He was wearing a black zip-up hoodie, dark blue jeans, white Nike runners, and a silver-banded watch with Roman numerals.
The suspect was driving a white pickup truck with a dents on the rear passenger side near the tailgate and on the driver’s side door.
