Remains identified as Christopher Dorner

BIG BEAR, Calif. (NEWS1130) – Authorities in California are confirming the remains found in a burned cabin are ex-LAPD officer Christopher Dorner.
Positive identification was made with dental records.
Spokeswoman for the San Bernardino County sheriff-coroner Jodi Miller didn’t give a cause of death while making the announcement.
The massive manhunt for Dorner came to an end on Tuesday when he barricaded himself in a cabin in the woods of Big Bear, a resort town about 80 miles (128 kilometres) east of Los Angeles.
Smoke and flames started to come from the cabin while police had it surrounded and there didn’t seem to be any effort made in putting the fire out.
Earlier that day, officers and Dorner exchanged gunfire which resulted in one deputy losing his life, another deputy was injured.
Dorner is accused of killing four people during a campaign he launched to exact revenge against the Los Angeles Police Department for his firing.
One of the targets listed in his manifesto was former LAPD Capt. Randal Quan, who represented Dorner before the disciplinary board.
The first victims were Quan’s daughter, Monica Quan, 28, a college basketball coach, and her fiance, Keith Lawrence, 27. They were shot multiple times in their car in a parking garage near their condo.
