Skier dies in Whistler

WHISTLER (NEWS1130) – A sking accident today in Whistler has left a 19-year-old man dead.

It happened on Phalanx Mountain which is a popular area with back country enthusiasts.

He dropped off a cliff and hit a rock below which left him injured and in distress.

His friend called for help but before rescuers arrived he stopped breathing. He later died in hospital.
