Russ Lacate gives away $10,100 jackpot

BURNABY (NEWS1130) – A man in Burnaby is now $10,100 richer!

News1130 Meteorologist Russ Lacate missed his guaranteed high yesterday, so he’s given away the jackpot. The lucky winner is Marcus Barnes.

“Wow! That’s excellent; that’s going to really help!” Barnes tells us. “That’s the biggest prize I’ve ever won! I’m very happy; thank you very much.”

“I will probably save some of it for a rainy day. The rest of it, I’ll probably treat my spouse. Maybe to go Vegas or something like that… just have a good time!” he adds.

The pot has been reset to $1,000 and will grow by $100 for each day Russ comes within three degrees of the previous day’s guaranteed high.
