Arrest made in Las Vegas shooting

LAS VEGAS (NEWS1130) – The suspect in a Las Vegas strip shooting is in police custody.

Ammar Harris was arrested following a multi-state manhunt.

Las Vegas Metro Police Lt. Ray Steiber says the 26-year-old was located in Los Angeles. “He left Las Vegas shortly after this occurred.”

Harris, a self-described pimp, has a criminal record for robbery, soliciting prostitution, and driving without a license.

Three people were killed in the Feb 21st shooting.

Clark Country District Attorney Steven Wolfson says Harris now faces murder charges. “He’s been charged with being involved with the murder of three innocent people and we’re going to prosecute him.”
