VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – We told you last week about how job burnout can be more hazardous to your health than smoking; today, a new study looks at why we are so stressed at work.
The top culprits are pay and an unreasonable workload.
The 2013 Work Stress Survey by Harris Interactive also found annoying coworkers, commuting, and a poor work/life balance are also adding to our worries.
The survey suggests women are more likely than men to say a paltry paycheque is a big cause of their stress.
It is an American study, but many of us can likely relate. About eight and ten people say their job is a major source of tension.
