SURREY (NEWS1130) – Getting from “here to there” is about to change if you use the “40-foot-limo” to get around.
TransLink is adding a new B-Line-style bus route to Surrey.
Beginning Labour Day, you’ll be able to take an express bus along King George Boulevard from the Newton Exchange to Surrey Central. It’ll run every seven minutes or so.
The transit authority is also changing some routes while eliminating others.

Permanent changes:
10 Granville/Downtown – Larger articulated buses will be introduced to help increase capacity, with minor frequency reductions during all time periods.
20 Victoria/Downtown – Every second trip during weekdays will now terminate at Victoria and 54th Avenue instead of travelling to the terminus stop at Harrison Loop.
96 Guildford/Newtown Exchange (New B-Line) – A new, limited-stop B-Line service will be introduced along King George Boulevard and 104 Avenue, linking Guildford and Newton Exchange via Surrey Central. Service will operate seven days a week from 5 a.m. to 1 a.m, with service every 7-8 minutes between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m.
101 Lougheed Station/22nd Street Station – Service will be rerouted to operate along 6th Avenue instead of 8th Avenue, west of 6th Street. This service change is associated with the reroute of 154 (now 128) onto 8th Avenue.
154 Braid Station/22nd Street Station – This service will be renumbered as 128, and rerouted to operate along 8th Avenue instead of 6th Avenue, between 22nd Street Station (Bay 3) and 6th Street. This service change is associated with the reroute of 101 onto 6th Avenue.
159 Port Coquitlam Station/Braid Station – Instead of travelling along Lougheed Highway, this service will be rerouted to serve the western portion of the discontinued 177 along United Boulevard via Fraser Mills.
177 Coquitlam Station/Braid Station – This service is being discontinued. A portion of the route will now be serviced by 159, which will be rerouted via Fraser Mills and United Boulevard. This service change underwent public consultation in Fall 2012. To mitigate the impacts of this change and maintain some level of coverage in the area, select trips on the 169 Coquitlam Station/Braid Station will be rerouted off of Lougheed Hwy onto Cape Horn Avenue and Colony Road during peak periods.
314 Scott Road Station/Surrey Central – This service will no longer make selected trips to Scott Road Stn as the route is duplicated by 640. Instead, these trips will terminate at River Road and Centre Street. Passengers currently making this trip will need to transfer to 640 Scott Road Stn or travel in the reverse direction to access the Expo Line at Surrey Central Stn.
332 Guildford/Surrey Central Station – This service will be renumbered to 335 Guildford/Surrey Central Stn.
335 Surrey Central Station/Fleetwood – This service will be rerouted to 84th Avenue to extend service to Newtown Exchange via 152nd Street and 72nd Avenue.

C98 Kingswood/22nd Street Station – This service will be rerouted off of Hwy 91 onto Westminster Hwy to improve service coverage in the Queensborough Landing and Hamilton areas and enable connections between routes 410 and C98.
C99 Port Royal/Hamilton – This service will be discontinued due to extremely low ridership. Customers in this area will continue to be serviced by routes 410, 104 and a rerouted C98. Impacts of this service change will be mitigated by the reroute of the C98 onto Westminster Hwy.
N24 Lynn Valley/Downtown – In order to provide late night service to more customers on the North Shore the N24 will be rerouted at 29th Street to connect to Lynn Valley Town Centre.
