Crews searching North Shore for missing tourist

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Search and rescue crews are searching the North Shore for a missing tourist.

Vancouver Police say they have received numerous tips about Tom Billings since making an appeal for information on his whereabouts yesterday.

Cst. Brian Montague with the Vancouver Police says it appears someone provided him with directions a few days ago. “The individual that we got some information from provided those directions. Unfortunately we’re looking at a fairly long time delay when Mr. Billings was last seen and when he was reported missing.”

The British tourist was last seen on East Broadway around 9 a.m. last Monday.

He is 22 years old and described as white, 5’7 and 160 lbs. He has short blond hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a black jacket and grey military style pants.

He is suppose to return to England on December 7th
