Justin Bieber arrested, charged

MIAMI BEACH. FL (NEWS1130) – Police in Miami Beach say Canadian singer Justin Bieber has officially been charged with resisting arrest without violence in addition to drag racing and driving under the influence.

Investigators also say the singer told them he had consumed alcohol, smoked marijuana and taken prescription drugs.

Chief Ray Martinez says the singer was initially not co-operative when an officer pulled him over for drag racing.  Bieber also had an invalid Georgia driver’s licence.

According to police, Bieber was driving a Lamborghini and R&B singer Khalil, who was also arrested, was driving a Ferrari.  Both cars have been seized.

Bieber has also made a court appearance where his bail was set at $2,500.
