Police warn about possible abduction last weekend

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Vancouver police are also warning about a possible abduction attempt last weekend at Tinseltown.
Constable Sandra Glendinning says a woman was stopped from walking away with a four-year-old girl.
“The family was able to intervene and get the child back, and the woman left the scene after that. This is quite concerning to us, and that’s why we’re letting everybody know.”
It happened during the Chinatown parade on Sunday.
The woman was described as white, 50 to 55 years old, 5’10” to 6′ tall, with a heavy/overweight build. She had glasses, long curly brown hair in a ponytail. She was wearing a dark jacket and dark pants.
The woman was later seen with a man that witnesses say was white, 30 to 35 years old, and over 6′ tall, with a very heavy/overweight build. He had a moustache and shoulder-length, balding, thick brown hair, and he was wearing dark-coloured clothes.
