B.C. election: Leaders square off Wednesday night in only live, televised debate

The leaders of three provincial parties in British Columbia are facing off Wednesday night in the only live, televised debate ahead of next weekend’s election.

New Democrat Leader David Eby, interim B.C. Conservative Leader Lorne Doerkson and Green Leader Emily Lowan will go head to head — 10 days before British Columbians go to the polls.

OneBC’s Dallas Brodie and CentreBC’s Elenore Sturko are not taking part in the debate, as neither of those parties had official status in the B.C. legislature at dissolution.

The event, hosted by the B.C. Broadcast Consortium, is being moderated by Shachi Kurl, the president of the Angus Reid Institute.

It will be livestreamed on CityNews Vancouver 24/7 from 6:15 p.m. to 8 p.m.
