BC Review Board reserves Schoenborn request

PORT COQUITLAM (NEWS1130) – The BC Review Board has reserved its decision about whether to give day parole to convicted child killer Allan Schoenborn.
Schoenborn was found not criminally responsible for murdering his three children in Merritt six years ago and was making his annual plea to the board today.
He was expected to ask once again for day passes, allowing him to leave the Colony Farm Forensic Psychiatric Hospital in Port Coquitlam.
His previous request for supervised day trips was approved in 2011, but Schoenborn rescinded the request after public outcry.
His ex-common-law wife, Darcie Clarke, lives in the community.
Last year, the board rejected his bid to be moved to a facility in Manitoba.
Schoenborn, who admitted to killing his three young children in 2008, was found not criminally responsible due to his mental disorder.
