WestJet ends daily service between Vancouver and Kamloops

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – After less than five months, Westjet is grounding its daily flight from Kamloops to Vancouver.

The company launched the flight, by its Encore regional service, last year, but says response is not meeting expectations.

Service will stop as of March 1st, but Westjet isn’t ruling out another try.

Company spokesman Rober Palmer says the Encore fleet expands to 16 aircraft by the end of this year and the additional capacity could allow it to return to the southern Interior city.
