Rainfall warning for Lower Mainland

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – There is a rainfall warning up for the Lower Mainland.
News1130 meteorologist Russ Lacate says you can expect to use your umbrella for most of the weekend. “Sub-tropical moisture embedded in the jet stream has caused the snow line to climb up and over the local peaks. Some heavy rain is in the forecast all of today, all of tonight, and that’s for all elevations.”
He says temperatures are above zero along mountain highways, including the Coquihalla, much of the Connector, and Allison Pass.
In Metro Vancouver, Lacate says upwards of 50 millimetres are possible before tomorrow morning.
He says the things should start to dry out tomorrow.
