Search continues for missing Malaysia Airlines jet

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (NEWS1130) – It’s being called an unprecedented aviation mystery; dozens of ships and aircraft are still searching for any sign of a Malaysian jumbo jet that vanished two days ago.
There have been no reliable sightings of debris from the plane that disappeared during a flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. There were 239 people aboard Flight MH370, including two Canadians.
Two other people were carrying one-way tickets on stolen passports.
Investigators are looking into a possible hijacking, noting they’re pursuing every angle to explain the jetliner’s disappearance. But so far, there is nothing to link them to the jet’s disappearance.
The search involving 34 aircraft and 40 ships from a number of countries covering a 50-nautical mile radius continues over the South China Sea.
Searchers had earlier spotted what might have been a life raft, but it turned out to be nothing but moss-covered trash.
Meanwhile, families of the passengers are at a Beijing hotel awaiting word about their loved ones.
