Early morning fire destroys two homes in Boston Bar

RCMP are investigating an early morning fire that destroyed two homes in Boston Bar.
Around 1:51 a.m. on Sept. 22, police were called to a residential fire on Old Boston Bar Road. They say when they arrived on scene, the fire had grown significantly and had spread to a neighbouring home.
RCMP say all residents from the two houses had safely evacuated from the homes, and nearby homes were also evacuated as a precaution.
Around 3:30 a.m., police believe embers from the house fire ignited another fire on a railway tie pile near Railway Avenue. It was extinguished by the fire department.
No injuries were reported.
The owner of the first residence is working with investigators.
According to RCMP, criminality is not believed to be a factor in the fire but the investigation is ongoing.
