Record year for Dine Out Vancouver

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Dine out Vancouver didn’t just break bread in 2014; it also broke records!

The 12th annual festival pumped almost $4 million into the local economy.

“Really, the actual number is greater than that, since this only represents online reservations. So, $3.9 million is a conservative estimate,” says Festival Coordinator Lucas Pavan.

He says to him, the financial benefit is just a bonus.

“The economic impact is secondary to Vancouver having a great culinary festival… and establishing Vancouver globally as a destination renowned for its culinary scene.”

With 263 restaurants taking part, the festival is the largest of its kind Canada.
