One arrested in targeted shooting at Spanish Banks

Vancouver police say they were called to Spanish Banks Saturday after reports of a shooting, which they say appears to have been targeted. Jack Rabb reports.

On Saturday afternoon, the Vancouver Police Department (VPD) were called to Spanish Banks for reports of a targeted shooting.

Around 4:50 p.m., callers stated they witnessed two masked men shoot at an occupied parked vehicle in a parking lot at the beach.

Following the shooting, a major police presence was seen along the border of the Sunset and Fraserview neighbourhoods.

The VPD say they cordoned off an SUV with minor damage along Prince Albert Street near 49th Avenue.

Investigators say that one suspect was located and arrested in East Vancouver.

Police say that as of Saturday night there were no known victims and the investigation into the incident is ongoing.

The VPD will provide updates once available.
