VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Superbowl fever is all around Metro Vancouver but you’re going to have to dish out a lot of money if you’re hoping to head down to Arizona for the big game.
Figuring it all out now could mean paying less, according to Claire Newell with Travel Best Bets.
Speaking with News1130, Goran says he was able to get a flight there but that’s it. “On the way home there is no flight so we have to rent a car and drive to LA to fly home.”
“You can get there but you’ve got to be really flexible and you may have to leave a couple days before or stay a couple of days after. But just going down for let’s say two nights, those are going to be few and far between,” explains Newell.
Tickets for the big game itself are at least $2,000 a piece and that is expected to go up in the days ahead.
Most one and a half star hotels are going for at least $300 a night. But Newell says while there are rooms available now, it won’t last.
“Three nights accommodation, it was starting at around $1,500 per person including the flight, hotel, taxes and fees,” she says.
