Pilot dead following plane crash in Surrey

SURREY (NEWS1130) – A man is dead after a plane went down in a field north of Highway 99, south of Colebrook Road.

Witnesses say they saw the ultralight plane flying northwest, turning to go east.

The man, believed to be the pilot, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The BC Coroners’ Service and the Transportation Safety Board have both been advised of the fatal crash.
