Passenger jet bumps into YVR passenger boarding bridge

RICHMOND (NEWS 1130) – Another unusual incident at YVR – the second one this week.

Like the earlier mishap, this latest one involved a plane arriving at a gate.

Philippine Airlines flight 127 was arriving at the airport from New York when it hit a passenger boarding bridge.

The damage to the bridge and plane were considered minor, however, the plane had to travel to the next gate to discharge its passengers.

The plane itself is now being inspected, and the rest of the flight to Manila was cancelled.

Earlier this week, a China Airlines plane wound up in the grass after landing at YVR. Apparently it had simply taken a wide turn.

Passengers escaped injury in both incidents.
