Something to crow about, local politician attacked by bird

WHITE ROCK (NEWS 1130) – There have been a number of warnings lately about crows dive-bombing people and now we’re hearing the story of a local politician who was attacked.
A White Rock City Councillor ended up with a big gash on her head.
Helen Fathers says this all started Saturday night when she heard a commotion outside her home and saw a bunch of crows in a tree.
Early Sunday morning, she was going to her job at the local Farmers Market when she was dive-bombed.
“They both dove down at me so I kind of ducked and then just on my way back in they dove again and one of them got me in my head with its beak. I couldn’t believe it. I put my hand to my head and there was blood everywhere.”
Fathers says when she got home later that day, she saw a dead baby crow on her driveway that she thinks might’ve been pulled out of its nest by a raccoon.
“I am laughing about it, because gosh you wouldn’t think a crow would get you, but I tell you it hurt.”
