White Pine Beach closed due to bear in the area

BELCARRA (NEWS 1130) – If you’re going hiking today, you may want to stay away from Belcarra Regional Park.

A bear has been spotted in the area. As a result, White Pine Beach is now closed to the public.

There’s no word on when it may re-open.

Metro Vancouver is reminding you, if you encounter a bear, stay calm and slowly back away.
