BURNABY (NEWS 1130) – Two people were rescued from a burning home in Burnaby Saturday night.
When crews arrived at the residence on Buckingham Drive they found a woman on the first floor near her bedroom window.
“They were able to get her out through the front and then they made their way into the front door and found that the kitchen was on fire,” said Assistant Fire Chief Greg Young.
He said that’s when crews realized there was another person downstairs.
“The building was full of smoke and they just assisted him to the outside.”
Young said luckily no one was injured.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
