Billboard marks one year since Abbotsford woman went missing

ABBOTSFORD (NEWS 1130) – Where is Kristina Ward?

The 21-year-old woman seems to have vanished from the Lower Mainland without a trace.

She was last seen a year ago, September 27, 2017.

Ward’s family hasn’t given up on finding her, putting up a billboard at 104th Avenue and 144th Street in Surrey, where she was last seen.

She was caught on surveillance video at that intersection, walking with a man who has yet to be identified.

Her mother, Leanne Ward, feels certain there’s at least one person out there who knows what happened to Kristina.

“She’s my daughter and it’s out of character and people don’t just disappear. Someone knows and someone has seen her, so we’re looking for the answers to find her and get her home”

LeeAnne also has a message for her missing daughter.

“Kristina, Mom and Dad love you. We want you home, your whole family, your aunt, uncle grandparents are concerned for you. Let us know that you’re safe, that’s all we want is that you’re safe”.

The family says that while Kristina is an adult, mentally she profiles as being between 12 and 16 years old.

The new billboard will remain up for roughly 6 weeks.

Anyone with information on Kristina Ward’s whereabouts is asked to contact Surrey RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
