Barn fire sends heavy smoke through Cloverdale

CLOVERDALE (NEWS 1130) – Flames lit up the sky in Cloverdale early Friday morning.
Surrey fire were called to a barn in the area of 176 Street and 68A Avenue around 4:00 a.m.
When they arrived, crews found the barn fully engulfed in flames. The blaze sent heavy smoke throughout the area, and forced the closure of a section of 176 Street for a few hours.
There’s no word on whether anyone’s been hurt, or what may have caused the fire. Firefighters say it took about two hours to get the fire under control.
