SURREY (NEWS 1130) – Candles and flowers lined Surrey’s Holland Park Saturday evening, to remember the life of a 21-year-old international student who was killed in an apparent murder-suicide earlier this month.
Dupinder Saran is with the group One Voice Canada and says Prabhleen Matharu’s murder was a tragic loss and says the vigil was meant to send a strong message.
“We need to stop violence against women, we need to stop violence against youth, we need to be supportive in whatever means they need, (even) if that means trying to talk to politicians about policy changes.”
