Santa lands in YVR for 16th annual Santa Claus parade Sunday

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – It was a Holly, Jolly Sunday in Vancouver.

Roughly 300,000 people turned out to see Kris Kringle himself make his way through the streets of downtown Vancouver.

Pipe bands, dancers and festive floats led the way for Santa Claus and families huddled together along the parade route.

Even pets got into the festive spirit.

The 16th annual Santa Claus Parade began at noon at Georgia and Broughton, and wrapped up on Davie Street around 1:30 p.m.
