London Drugs on Vancouver’s Granville strip cleared to re-open following case of COVID-19

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) —  Vancouver’s flagship London Drugs store at the corner of Granville and West Georgia Streets was closed after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.

The pharmacy worker was last in the store on March 18, according to a statement from the company.

“This individual … was asymptomatic at the time and is currently self-isolated in their home. We realize there will be concern amongst our staff and customers and we want you to know your health and safety remains our highest priority. We have been working with Vancouver Coastal Health to ensure all protocols are being followed,”  the statement reads.

It goes on to say that all surfaces in their stores have been cleaned on an hourly basis in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The company released a statement confirming the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority gave them the green light at nine Sunday morning.

All other London Drugs are also open Sunday.
