Two more Langley Lodge residents die from COVID-19

LANGLEY (NEWS 1130) — Two more patients have died at a care home in Langley since a second outbreak started a month ago.

Langley Lodge announced Wednesday two more people had died, and there are three more cases.

“Our residents are like family, and we acknowledge the grief and sorrow that their family members are going through,” reads a release from the lodge.

This came the same day the province only reported one death, though, the two deaths will likely be included in an update later this week.

To date, 22 Langley Lodge residents have died of the virus.

Operators say residents continue to isolate in their rooms while receiving tray meal service.

Ten staff members and one resident are still being treated for the virus, and three more residents have recovered.

There have been at least 2,550 cases of the virus in B.C. and as many as 160 people have died.
