Unemployment rate: 12.3 per cent (13.7)

Employment rate: 56.0 per cent (52.9)

Participation rate: 63.8 per cent (61.4)

Number unemployed: 2,452,600 (2,619,200)

Number working: 17,427,400 (16,474,500)

Youth (15-24 years) unemployment rate: 27.5 per cent (29.4)

Men (25 plus) unemployment rate: 9.5 per cent (11.1)

Women (25 plus) unemployment rate: 10.4 per cent (11.8)
