VICTORIA (NEWS 1130) — The province recorded the second highest single-day total of new COVID-19 cases on Friday with 121, ahead of the last long weekend of the summer.
Health officials also reported another death, bringing the total in B.C. to 211, while declaring an outbreak at KinVillage, a care home in the Fraser Health region.
The new cases are just shy of the record of 124, set late last month, and follow a day when health officials said B.C. is at a critical point in bending the pandemic curve back down as cases have surged since the July 1 long weekend.
