British Columbia has received the first shipment of the COVID-19 vaccine and we’re getting an inside look at the arrival.
Health Minister Adrian Dix and Premier John Horgan shared images and video from Sunday night’s delivery of about 4,000 doses.
“These initial vaccine doses will be administered to Lower Mainland health-care workers who work in long-term care homes and front-line health-care workers essential to the COVID-19 response. Fraser Health and Vancouver Coastal Health are contacting staff to schedule the initial vaccine appointments,” reads a news release.
Other health authorities will receive the Pfizer BioNTech vaccine by Dec. 21.
The first vaccinations will take place Tuesday.
