Pickup truck and e-scooter collide in Richmond: RCMP

A pickup truck and a person riding an e-scooter collided on Friday afternoon around 3:50 p.m. near Westminster Highway and Minoru Boulevard in Richmond, police say.

“The e-scooter rider sustained injuries and is being transported to a local hospital for treatment and assessment,” said Cpl. Melissa Lui, media relations officer.

Police say the investigation is in early stages.

RCMP are asking anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage to contact the Richmond RCMP and quote file number 2026-21789.
