TransLink Compass machines fixed after technical glitch at Canada Line, SkyTrain stations

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – It was cash-only for anyone trying to make a payment at any of the Compass Vending Machines (CVM) at Canada Line, Expo Line, or Millennium Line stations for some time Friday morning.

TransLink said the CVMs were experiencing technical issues, meaning they were not accepting any card payments.

“We are working to resolve this issue and thank you for your patience,” wrote the transit authority on Twitter just before 6 a.m., noting customers were still able to tap credit cards at faregates to get through.

The issue was fixed more than an hour and a half later.

“Compass Vending Machine technical issues have been resolved,” TransLink wrote in a tweet Friday.

TransLink did not provide more details into what led to the technical glitch.
