B.C. records 23 more COVID-19 deaths, 992 new cases in 48 hours

Twenty-three people have died from COVID-19 in B.C. in the last 48 hours, according to an update from the province Friday.
Deaths were recorded in all health regions, with 11 in Vancouver Coastal, eight in Fraser Health, two in Interior Health, one in Northern Health, and one in Island Health.
There have been 992 new infections, 519 between Nov. 10 and 11, and 473 from Nov. 11 to 12. Fraser Health saw the highest number of new cases with 308. There were 263 in Interior Health, 166 in Northern Health, 138 in Island Health, and 117 in Vancouver Coastal.

The number of people in hospital has dropped from 404 on Wednesday to 384 on Friday. The number of people in intensive care is up from 117 to 124.
On the vaccination front, 86.5 p[er cent of British Columbians are fully immunized while 90.6 per cent have received one shot.
There have been two new health-care facility outbreaks at Abbotsford Regional Hospital in Fraser Health, and Royal Inland Hospital in Interior Health. Four outbreaks have been declared over. Three in Fraser Health at The Emerald at Elim Village, Bethshan Gardens, Hallmark on the Park, and one in Northern Health, at GR Baker Memorial Hospital.
There are 25 outbreaks ongoing at long-term care, acute care, and assisted living facilities.
Between Nov. 4 and 10, people not fully vaccinated accounted for 61.0 per cent of new cases. From Oct. 28 to Nov. 10, they accounted for 68.9% of hospitalizations.
