B.C. records 753 COVID-19 cases, highest daily count in 6 weeks

Rising COVID-19 cases in B.C. have people clamouring for tests, but finding traffic around the block at some Vancouver testing centres. As Liza Yuzda reports, many are wondering why the province's big boxes of rapid tests can't be divided up and distributed in smaller quantities.

On Thursday, the province reported 753 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours. The last time a number this high was recorded was Oct. 28.

The numbers come on the heels of Health Minister Adrian Dix suggesting more restrictions are likely looming for B.C. Other provinces across Canada are reporting record case numbers, and bringing in new measures to try to stop the surge driven by the Omicron variant.
