NHL postpones Vancouver Canucks’ home game

The Vancouver Canucks home game on Jan. 5 against the New York Islanders has been rescheduled for later in the season.
This game is one of eight the NHL postponed because of COVID-19 attendance restrictions in Canada.

The NHL has now postponed more than 90 games due to COVID-19 concerns in Canada and the United States.
Vancouver’s home game against Ottawa on Saturday, Jan. 8 is still scheduled to go ahead as planned.
In a release, the local team advices fans to hold onto their tickets “as they will be honoured for the rescheduled date, which will be communicated as soon as it is confirmed.”
“The League is in the process of reviewing and revising its regular season schedule,” it adds.
