Cyclist in Abbotsford dies after being hit by vehicle

A cyclist has died in hospital after being struck by a vehicle Friday afternoon in Abbotsford.
Police say they were called the scene on McCallum Road near South Fraser Way around 3:30 p.m. When officers arrived, they found the cyclist in critical condition.
The cyclist was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
At this time, police are not confirming the identity of the cyclist.
Officers confirmed the driver involved in the collision was not injured “but is very shaken by this incident.”
The driver remained on scene and is fully cooperating with this investigation police say.

Police are on the scene and have closed both directions of McCallum Road Rd between Braun Ave and South Fraser Way.
