A Vancouver dance crew is bringing home gold after winning Lilly Singh’s golden buzzer on Tuesday’s episode of Canada’s Got Talent.

The 17 member group, GRVMNT say they have faced some major challenges along the way, but they are incredibly proud of their results on the show.

“I cant even talk, I’m in shock still processing that moment,” GRVMNT told CityNews.

The group calls their studio space “studio O”, or better known as, “studio outside” since they say they don’t have a permanent dance studio.

“We will just take a walk and find a flat area with semi-good lighting that’s where we will rehearse. We will use windows of buildings as mirrors, they’re like dusty and filled with spiders. I know this one time we were at an Ikea parking lot late at night because there’s nowhere else to go,” the group said.

Although they have been dancing for years, GRVMNT says they continue to exercise intensely and ensure they keep up with new choreography.

“From the very get go we had very high energy, we have had to train years to constantly give that high impact high energy.”

Canadian comedian, Lilly Singh, was an obvious fan of the dance group, telling them, “you could win this whole thing,” after awarding them the golden buzzer.

Now, the crew is dreaming of what they might do if they are able to go all the way and win Canada’s Got Talent.

“New studio for sure, we are not the only crew from our studio, we can’t let young kids dance in the rain on the concrete so definitely a new studio for them.”

The next episode of Canada’s Got Talent airs Tuesday on Citytv.
